True Blood ~Season Two ~ Episode One

As this episode is opening, there's a dead body in Andy's car....the charlatan voodoo prietess. We find out a little bit about Sam as a teenager and how he has known MaryAnn before, we still don't know exactly what MaryAnn is, but we know she's something supernatural. Lafayette is trapped...held in the cellar...of Fangtasia. Eric is collecting retribution. Also, Sookie finds out about Bill and his new charge, Jessica, his first 'turning' and punishment for killing one of their own. Sookie learns of Bill's involvement with her uncle's death as well. Tara still has no idea who or what MaryAnn is, but still staying at her house. Jason is still infatuated with The Fellowship of the Sun, the demented organization that wants to kill all vampires.

I love this show and I was not disappointed in this weeks offering. I'll be tuning in next week for another installment of True Blood! (Could the rumors be true that Charlaine Harris may make an appearance in this seasons episodes? Keep watching to find out!)

Here's a taste from last season:

And a sneak peek at what will come in Season Two:

Hi Dottie!!

I've seen commercials for True Blood all weekend and it looks like a great show.....I've never seen it before! :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Hi Blanche!

This episode was so good, but if you don't have HBO, then you don't get to watch it (some sites have it available, but it's taken down really quick by HBO). I wish they would show it on another channel later or something, but there's no much R rated stuff that goes on to allow it (nudity, sex, vampires biting, more sex, a little violence). I love it.

We kinda don't have a TV at the moment. We have one, but it's still in the box, so my husband missed the first episode last night. He'll have to catch the rerun.

I tried to watch it last season. I only made it through two episodes though, maybe three. I don't know, too much blood! It's one thing for me to read it and quite another to watch it :(.

It's so awesome though that it is a series that everyone seems to love!!

I really enjoyed last night's episode! Don't want to say too much and spoil anything for someone but I was very nicely surprised by a favorite character of mine. :)

I am totally gonna miss out, but I am going to not watch. Not the show for me, which is crazy since there are vamps there

Unknown said... 8

Hi Amy!

Let your husband know that starting today, the first episode is available on demand (if you're cable system offers HBO on demand - also the first entire season is available there as well.)

Yes, it is a bit bloody, but vamps thrive on blood and it seems to get violent and bloody around them. More than the books I think.

It is awesome and I do love it. It seems to only get better for me.

Did you get to see Star Trek this weekend? Curious about what you and Devon thought. :)

Hi Fantasy Dreamer!

It was an excellent opening episode! I loved it. Found out a lot more information about characters. (If you haven't already read the books that is.)

How bout Eric? I can't wait to see more of him.

Dottie :)

Hi Mandi!

I laughed when I saw the foils, HBO played the episode again about an hour later, and sat through it again and no, my eyes were not deceiving me, hair foils...lol... I loved it too. Eric is one of my favorite characters, I could look at and listen to him talk all day...very mesmerizing! (must be the pheromones lol)

I wish there was a way for Sookie and Eric to get together in the books, you know, like when he was himself. I really enjoyed that part of the series.

Hi Lea!

The DVD was just released here, but I don't know about Canada.

It's a most excellent show, I enjoyed it so much! At first, I didn't think I would because it steps away from the books, but it sucked me in from the start.

Hope you're able to see it soon!

Dottie :)

Hi Blodeuedd!

It can't be everyone's cup of tea, Amy doesn't care for the show either. Too bloody for her. So that's okay. Have you read the books? Charlaine Harris writes an excellent tale. After I read the books, I knew I would have to check out the shows.

It is good, but like I said, maybe not your cup of tea.

Dottie,

I am so excited about this show. They are doing a great job of sticking to the books - but when they deviate - it's just as awesome!!

I can't wait to see what happens with Lafayette, he is one of my favorite characters.

And Eric and hair foils? Bill recycling? I cracked up.

I'll be tuned in every Sunday. :)

Nice stuff on Star Trek.

I'm sure you have this already, but I'm nominating you still. =)

Hi Michelle!

I was laughing out loud to see Eric in those hair foils...too funny, I watched twice to make sure! Bill was recycling glass, plastic, and paper!! *grinning still*

Doesn't Violet match her character in the books? Kind of freaky in a whiny teenager with teeth sort of way.

At first, I didn't know if I'd like the deviations, but they're great and they make the storyline more exciting for the viewer and keep us guessing.

I love LaFayette, I'm glad they're keeping him in the storyline. Did you see the previews from next week? I can hardly wait to watch!

I'll keep tuning in too!

Dottie :)

I don't have HBO :(

I'll just have to wait for the seasons to come out on DVD.

Unknown said... 18

Hi VFG!

I only have HBO so that I can watch True Blood..lolol... My hubs was like why am I spending extra money on this....? I said it was a moral imperative. We agreed to disagree on this one!

The first season just come out, but it's kind of expensive. :(

Maybe it will be available for rental?

I haven't seen the second season yet since the way the first kept ending on cliffhangers would drive me nuts I've been trying really hard to just wait.

Unknown said... 20

Hi LadyTink!

Well, if the first season drove you nuts with cliffhangers, the second series will make you completely bonkers! It's cliffhanger heaven baby! But since it follows the general outline of the books, that's okay. Now the second show of the season was really different.....

Dottie :)
