From the Cover: Fifteen years ago, Alvar went to prison for a murder he didn't commit. Finally released, he comes face to face with the real murderer - the only woman he has ever loved.
Edenia wanted fifteen long years for the murderer of her husband to be released from prison. If only she could release him as he had her those many years ago.
Alvar didn't need to look upon the murderer he had spent the last fifteen years trying to forget, lying eyes and lying lips that he had willingly served time for.
Only, could they both be wrong, what if another had pulled the trigger, ending the bastard's life and his sick cruelty along with him. The answer may not be what either one expects.
Released by Kimber Chin was an intense drama belying the few pages it was written upon. In the short space of pages, the reader learns what the hero and heroine have given up, each for the other, without ever recognizing the truth. Quickly, the story unfolds, revealing a love story that has been unrequited. Alvar for his youth and inexperience, and Edenia for her fear of reprisal. Only her best friend, Stigr, has allowed her to keep her sanity through Alvar's imprisonment. Each thinking the other guilty, it's only through confrontation that they realize a third party is involved. But the threatening messages to leave the past alone only serve to wet Alvar curiosity and anger. Who did he go to prison for if not Edenia?
Released was a quick read, sweet love story, and mystery all wrapped up in a nice little package. If you'd like a quick little crime drama to read, I recommend Released. It's available in ebook format from Amazon as well as other ebook distributors.
I received the short story from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.

I wish e-book covers weren't so blah. It sounds interesting but I'd probably pass on it if I ever saw this cover in a bookstore. I'm so shallow!
Hey Dottie! I've read one of her short stories and thought it was cute and fun this one sounds good too though I'll have to get it!
Hi Cecile!
It was sweet and fun, and very short, I read the whole thing while we were chatting. It's my first Kimber Chin read, probably won't be my last!

Hi LadyTink!
I've read a few that didn't have cover art. I think as ebooks grow in popularity, the covers will come closer to print editions.
