An eBook exclusive story from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series.

*****May Contain Spoilers*****

In "The Iron King", we discovered Meghan Chase's true identity.  She's one of the Summer Fey, lucky her.... it's just how she feels, princess though she may be.  She's escaped to the NeverNever to find and retrieve her step-brother, Ethan, but at the cost of making a contract with the Winter Court's Prince Ash.  But, when Ash comes to collect her payment, something else is waiting for them.  Her best-friend and companion, Robbie, was injured and near death while helping her search for Ethan.  She's lost so much and now, her freedom is at stake.  But, something else is waiting for her in the NeverNever, something's hunting her, something's scenting her blood.

Winter's Passage by Julie Kagawa is a stepping stone story, filling in the details between "The Iron King" and "The Iron Daughter" (the next in the series).  It tells the story of what happens when Ash comes to collect his debt for helping retrieve Ethan from the clutches of the evil Iron Fey.  But, the Winter Court isn't done with Ash and Meghan, and neither is the Summer Court.  And there's no forgetting the Iron Court, who are slowly trying to take over the NeverNever.

Winter's Passage is an excellent addition to the continuing story of Robbie, Ash, and Meghan, and all the other players who want a piece of Meghan's life and her heritage.  It's unique storytelling, bringing Shakespeare a little to life for those of us not fond of the Bard's writings.  If you want to try a new series, take a peek at Winter's Passage.  It's excellent YA Urban Fantasy with a nice Pararomance brewing too.  I enjoyed it very much and happily waiting for the next in the series.

I received this ebook for review Harlequin Teen and Net Galley.  All opinions expressed are my own.
