Friendship as a Gift
Friendship is the sweetness
of a new dawning day.
Joy bursting through the harshness
of the night's gray.
Happiness leaping in my eyes
and singing from my lips,
no need for lies,
and tears will be eclipsed.
Though we go through our days
not knowing what will be,
please know this as the truth lays,
I can only be but me.
So know dear friends, both all and each,
I hold you in my heart.
Though distance makes it a hard reach,
friendship is felt even as we are apart.

Can I hug you Dottie? Sending you many bear hugs!!! I didn't even know there was such a day as friendship day, want to say gratitude to all my real life and online friends. This post wants my to snuggle up on the couch for some girl time with all of you...who is passing the bowl of m&m's?
