About the Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon lives a life of extraordinary danger... as does any woman with three sons, a husband, a menagerie of pets and a collection of swords that all of the above have a fixation on. But when not running interference (or dashing off to the emergency room), she's found chained to her computer where she likes to play with all her imaginary friends. With more than ten million copies of her books in print in 26 countries, she certainly has many friends to play with.
Hi Sherrilyn! Welcome to Tink's Place! Why don't you tell us about yourself?
Thanks for having me. There's not much to tell really. I'm a death-defying, immortal astronaut who slays demons...
Oh wait, those are characters from my various series. Never mind...
LOL, who does want to ride a space ship or hot motorcycle... as well as being a death defying immortal demon slayer?
Some authors say it's the story begging to be told or a character that drives the need to write. What drives your need to write? When do you like to write, morning, noon, midnight?
Whenever and wherever I have a chance. And yes, the people in the stories are what drive me to write.
Your latest release, No Mercy, is part The Dark Hunters Series. Would you like to tell us a little about the series?
They're immortal slayers who sold their souls to the Greek goddess Artemis for a single act of vengeance against their enemies who killed them. In exchange, they spend eternity battling the Daimons who were created by the god Apollo and protecting mankind from those who would prey on them.
Oh, I'm rubbing my hands together, as my readers know, I love a book that includes a taste of mythology!!
When you're not working on your next book, who are some of the author's you enjoy? What's your favorite all-time read?
I read tons of authors. Kevin J. Anderson. Jim Butcher. Shannon Butcher. Stephanie Laurens.
My all time fave read is The Canterbury Tales by Chaucer.
Is there a character you feel close to, maybe part of yourself has seeped into?
I never seep into the characters and I feel close to all of them. They're like my children.
Who's your favorite hero?
I don't have one. Sorry.
Hey, that's okay, I fall a little for every hero.
Would you like to tell us what's next for you? Another Dark Hunter book?
After No Mercy, the next book out is Invincible which is part two of the Chronicles of Nick and then Born of Shadows which is another League novel.
Oh, I can't wait, I LOVE your League Series!
Now fun stuff. If you were stranded on a desert island, what five things would you want to be stranded with you?
1. My hubby
2. My children
3. Enough of their friends to keep them happy
4. A computer with never ending electricity
5. My pets
Awww, all great things and people to have surrounding you, not only on a desert island, but everywhere, everyday!!
I'd like to thank Ms. Kenyon for spending a little of her valuable time with us today here at Tink's Place. I love learning more about my favorite authors, don't you?
If you'd like an extra entry into the What's Your Sanctuary Giveaway, leave a comment congratulating Ms. Kenyon on her release!
Thanks for visiting!

Dottie, I have to say I enjoyed your interview. Especially the five things to be stranded on a deserted island.
Sherri, you are an auto buy for me. I haven't read a book yet I haven't liked. I think I started with book number 2 and kept right on going. Thanks to me, all the girls (except for my mom who's not a para person) in my family have read and are collecting your books.
I've missed a few from your league and Chronicles so I have books of yours I haven't read. I can get a Kenyon read without having to wait for the next release date.
Busy lady and I have a lot respect for someone who can write three series and do a great job!
Wonderful interview, Dottie, with a wonderful author! I've been reading her books for a long time now. I actually started with her Macgregor books, and it wasn't until I realized that the picture in the back of those books was the same as the one in the back of her Dark-Hunter books that they were the same person. I just knew that I thought they were both really great authors!
Great interview! How cool that you got to interview Kenyon.
I am so far behind on these books, one day
Me too, Blodeuedd. I think I'm about 5 books behind, including Nick's and the Dream-Hunters.
Sweet interview! I love Sherri's Dark Hunters and wish her the best with her future book releases! :)
I think I'm 2-3 books behind, but am definitely going to catch up. You can't help but want to know what's going to happen next!
Congrats! I just started reading the Dark Hunter series and I'm in love! SUCH good books.
Excellent interview Dottie! I love Ms. Kenyon's Dark Hunter stories, Acheron happens to be one of my all time favorite heroes.
I too love Chaucer's works, I didn't think there was anyone else who did! lol
Thanks to you both for sharing!
