In My Email Today - New Contest With Witchy Chicks

These are not my personal contests, to enter click http://witchychicks.blogspot.com/ for more information or to sign up for their newsletter. Each month brings something new; contests, books, or just a lot of fun! Also, Witchy Chicks have a monthly giveaway, so remember to stop by. Nine witches, nine great authors. All their webiste information is given at Witchy Chicks.

(I posted this great cover when it was released back in June)

Yasmine says:

Contest: I'll be having a contest starting this week throughout the rest of the month for one-yes, just one (that's all I have to offer) copy of the Never After arc, and 20 random backlist copies of my work. Check my blogs this week to find out when/where/all the good information.

D'Artigo Fun: The sisters now have their own blog and Twitter account! The Indigo Crescent Blog and the SOTM_Sisters on Twitter. Jump over and see what they have to say!

Conferences, Etc: I'm trying to decide if I'm doing any conferences/conventions next year. I've decided if I do, they'll have to be west coast. Meanwhile, remember this year I'll be giving a workshop, participating in the Witchy Chicks open social (open to public), and doing the booksigning at Emerald City Writers Conference during October. My workshop will be on Urban Fantasy: A Walk on the Witchy Side.

Yasmine also posted the new cover art for her new anthology.

This looks really good! Can't wait to take a peek.

Also in the same email, Annette Blair is posted a contest.

Annette says:

August is a busy time for me. LARCENY AND LACE hit the stores yesterday and I did a fun launch party with Jessica Andersen and Hannah Howell last night. I have a great new contest up on my site with two $50 bookstore certificates as prizes, so check that out at http://www.annetteblair.com/contest.htm and join the fun. I hope that you've found some splendid summer reads and that the cooler weather blesses us all soon.

Here's a peek at Annette Blair's new book, Naked Dragon. It sounds great. (It's part of the Works Like Magick Novels.)

Release date: January 2010

"the Novels take place in everyday Salem, but they're more paranormal than my witches.

Magical, supernatural ancients are slipping through the veil from parallel planes and getting mainstreamed into society, where they cause some sexy, sassy, and supernatural havoc.

Through the series, you'll get to see what's happening with the Accidental Witches, the Psychic Triplets, and their families, not to mention the magical supernatural ancients"

Also Cathy Clamp is giving information about Faery Court 2010.

Cathy says:

Speaking of Romantic Times, Cie and I will be members of the Faery Court at the 2010 Convention in Columbus, Ohio! (this is a very cool website, enter at your own risk, so cool!) Come visit us on the web to discover the theme of this year's Faery Ball and join in the fun! My bio, as well as Cie's are still"waiting in the wings" but stay tuned!

Don't forget that we're going to give away several copies of the book that are EXTRA giveaways, outside of the normal Witchy Chick offerings! Watch for my post on August 11th and comment to win! Also, don't forget to come follow me on Twitter. Twitter followers get an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at the 2nd chapter of COLD MOON RISING, all in tweets! How fun is that?! Go here and read backwards to see the whole chapter. The first full chapter is up on our website, so don't forget to visit there first.

Cie will be attending FenCon September 18-20 at the North Dallas-Addison Crowne Plaza. Look for her in a grey fedora with a peacock feather!

Hi Cecile!

I didn't get much done today, having a blah reading day. I have four books started, can't seem to finish any of them!

But tomorrow, my friend Tami will be in town, and she's doing my hair. Always feel great with a new do.

((hugs))

Hi Dottie!

I was intrigued at first with Naked Dragon. I Love the cover but I'm not so much into that urban contemporary paranormal stuff anymore. The last few I've tried, I haven't finished :(. I don't know why!

Hi Blodeuedd!

Some of those new books do look pretty good. Some new finds for my TBB.

Hi Amy!

I usually like all urban fantasy, but definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Sometimes too graphic or too scary, and sometimes just not enough romance or the right kind of romance, just depends on your tastes.

Naked Dragon says "I'm yummy!"

=P Think that's going on my list.

I'm sorry I'm late with the commenting. I'm playing catch up and it looks like I'm loosing. =(

Hi Linda!

Naked Dragon looks yummy to me too!

I seem to play catch up all the time, and it worse right now. Too much going on, can't wait for school to start. I need a break from the constant running.
