Thought I'd pass this along from Vickie Taylor's website. I made me feel good about reading and spending a little extra money on books. It's such great escapism...It just makes me happy...and in today's world, isn't a little happiness something we all could use? I agree, whilst we may be having to cut back on luxury items in this economy books are still at the top of the list. Also, of course if things are really tough you can borrow from the library so it is the one thing that you never have to do without.

I agree, since it's something that is inexpensive, it's an easy way to feel good, and libraries are a great source , especially if you want to try an author before you buy (use mine all the time - I try to support them by donating books while their budgets are being cut).

This is so true--"The endings may be predictable, but there’s solace in knowing that things are going to turn out like they should."
And that's one of the reasons I love romances. The endings are always happy, and of course, the sex is good! Who doesn't like sex? It's very uplifting!
