It's Time for Short Fiction Writing Contests!!

Hello Everyone Throughout The Blogoshere!!!

There are a couple of writing contest out there for lovers of flash fiction to participate in and some great prizes up for grabs.

Jason Evans from The Clarity of Night is having his contest for flash fiction entries (which means short fiction and word counts, 250 words or less). I know several bloggers participated with me last time Jason ran a contest and I hope to see you ladies and gentlemen this time too. Here's the picture prompt from Jason's current contest:

If this doesn't inspire some of those wicked imaginations out there, I don't know what will!! The majesty of the mighty hawk holds many possibilities! Deadline for entry is January 13, 2010, so get cracking!!

Also......

The Deadline Dames
are holding their first Readers on Demand (ROD) contest of the New Year, Happy 2010!! Their contest is also flash fiction of 250 words or less. The Dames have requested that their picture prompts not be copied from their website, so if you want a peek at it, you'll have to check out their site. I will say it's a grabber!! Even if you're not going to participate, check out this picture, it's very Psycho-ish.... I can't wait to see the fiction that goes along with this one! Deadline for entry is January 13, 2010, get writing folks!

I hope everyone is having an awesome start to the new year! Reading great books, keeping warm with a nice cup of hot chocolate, and enjoying this wicked winter weather. I know it's frigidly cold here and curling up with my laptop and a fantastic book to wake my imagination is the perfect solution to the arctic temperatures. Have fun with the competitions!!

I got the notification for The Clarity of Night. I might give it a try. Not sure yet. That picture seems like it'll be a little tough for me.

I'll have to check out the other one :).

Christina - xristya@rock.com - Hi Dottie! I entered the Clarity Of Night contest shown on your site and also wanted to tell you that I'm Christina who does reviews on movieroomreviews.com and musicroomreviews.com and when copying all my movie reviews from Neil's updated site I noticed that you had left some comments (too busy writing, before this, to look at comments), so, thank you! I'm an avid reader too and wish you all the best!

Hi Amy!

So much to do with that pic...I think you could continue your early line, but exploring the part of day our new employer may still be able to enjoy. Hmmmm, what do you think?

Hi Christina!

Nice to 'see' you here, lol! I've been stalking you're blog and Neil's for a bit. I too am an avid reader and recently I've sent my sights to writing a tiny bit. So, I'll be entering Jason's contest. It was a blast last time! *grin*

250 words and a complete story? Oh sure, just kill me now. 250? sigh. I'll think about it.

Hi Sia!

Oh 250 words, just short of a conversation! LOL But, I sure enjoy flash fiction.

I'm the kind of guy who loves to seek fresh things. Currently I'm making my personalized solar panels. I'm making it all by myself without the aid of my staff. I am using the net as the only way to acheive this. I saw a really awesome site which explains how to build solar panels and wind generators. The place explains all the steps required to solar panel construction.

I'm not exactly sure bout how precise the info given there iz. If some people over here who have xp with these things can have a see and give your feedback in the thread it will be awesome and I would extremely appreciate it, cauze I truly passion solar panel construction.

Tnx for reading this. You people are great.

I came over looking for your entry into this contest, and to thank you for reading mines with all the errors ... I should have took care in attaching the right file ... still, you were kind enough to see Lidia, and for that I am grateful. If you care to read the copy I had intended to send in, you can find it on my blog under short stories.

That said, you have an amazing blog, and I will bookmark it so that I can come and enjoy it.
