Monday Flash Fiction Challenge

Happy Monday everyone. It's rather dreary over here in Michigan, but the snow is melted away so I am okay with it. ^.^ How is everyone else doing? How is weather on your side of the pond?

Well, I forgot to post my story on Friday for last week's challenge, but if you click HERE then it will transport you to my tale. Along with my story, I also want to let you guys know that I'm hosting a giveaway over at my blog for my blog's 2nd birthday. This is a picture of the Tunnel of Love in the Ukraine. Really cool picture of it. I love how the sun is shining through the trees. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner (aka Thursday) I found this oddly appropriate for this week's challenge. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Be Mine..... Bloody Valentine

I heard it's demand,

felt it's hunger.

Know feel of it's hand,

soft and vulgar.

I felt it's caress,

grimy and unclean.

It left me somehow less,

but it desired a queen.

It wriggled under my skin,

writhing with need,

and it began to win,

forcing the deed.

It took what it wanted,

leaving me picked clean.

Was it meant to be love?

Do you know what I mean?

When the beast finally calls

slipping sweetly into night,

I answer with my own,

readying for the love's happy fight.

Hunting free,

it fills with longing.

The beast thinks me

as his belonging.

So on this dark night

I wished for what was right.

He alone to be mine.

My beast, my love, my bloody valentine.

I've been feeling dark and moody.... I think it's reflected in my Valentine's Day Poem....

I've tried to forget

My love oh so sweet,

that thunder crashed by chance when we meet.

I've tried to forget

the lingerings of your taste

bodies throbbing, lips together, and limbs laced.

I've tried to forget

you're face, scent, and lips

but I can still feel you, taste you, on my fingertips.

I've tried to forget

the promises you made.

Even with your goodbye and I became afraid.

I've tried to forget

the feel of your mouth on mine.

As you pierced me through with your point sharpened tines.

I've tried to forget

that last night of my life

but the feelings run as deep as the cut of a knife.

I've tried to forget

as I haunt my bloody valentine.

But I can't, so together we'll stay and you'll remain mine.
