Monday Afternoon Flash Fiction Challenge

Happy Monday everyone. I'm being bad and typing this up in my Structure of English class, while the professor attempts at our names. *sighs* I know I should pay attention, but I loath Grammar classes with a passion. I like to consider myself a novice writer, so I should be all over this class like a bee on honey...however....not so much. I think the majority of writers out there will agree with me.

Anyways, here is this week's challenge.

This is something rather different from past pictures shared in this challenge. I randomly found while browsing through Wild, Wild West pictures. Who are these men on the hill? Are they women perhaps? Mhmmm. Cowboys, Indians, just some rogues, or idiots lost in the desert. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

I shall share my story from last week:

Lust is a Sin: Tale of Francine
by: Carole Rae

He haunted her dreams. She could not get the blasted man from her head. However...it was fruitless to allow herself to think on him even for a second for the man was married. The man belonged to another. The man belonged to her sister, Mary. Francine loved her sister more then anything in the world and that was why she tried to keep the blasted man from her head. However, the snake kept slithering in. She let out a sigh and flopped onto the settee and threw her feet up onto the footstool that was blue and did not match anything else in her bedroom.

She had to leave that party.

It killed her to see them dancing and making jolly upon the dance floor. Yes, this was a celebration of HER birthday this beautiful spring night, but she could find no joy. Mary owned the heart of the man she wanted. The man she lusted over, but tried oh so hard not to. Francine let out another sigh and closed her eyes. Perhaps she just needed to close her eyes and it would make the wine stop making her head spin. Whenever she drank the bubbly goodness, her jealousy and lust became as bright as the August sun.

It didn't help. All she kept envisioning was herself dancing with her Edward...Mary's Edward, she reminded herself, he is not yours.

About an hour drifted along while she tried to keep her mind blank. She must have drifted off for she snapped awake and fell back into consciousness from a knock on the door. After gaining back her footing in the consciousness, she asked, “Who is it?”

“It's Edward.” A chill ran up her spin.

“Oh...um....yes?” She stuttered and began adjusting her bodice and hair.

“Mary wanted me to check on you for you have been gone an hour or so my dear.”

“Oh...well...I am afraid I drank too much wine and so I had to escape for a moment for my head was hurting.” Not an entire lie.

“I see. Are you feeling better?”

Francine bit her lip. The wine was still strong in her veins, so she replied with a sigh, “Oh, no I am not. I sat upon my settee and I'm feeling sick, but I can not get myself up. I really would like to go to bed.”

After a seconds thought, Edward asked, “Would you like my help?”

A cat's smile played on her lips, but kept with the same tone of helplessness, “If it isn't too much hassle for you, Edward.”

“No hassle at all, Francine.” He replied gallantly. She nearly swooned just from the way he said her name.

“Then do come in, please.” She adjusted her bodice, she off quite a bit of skin. It made her look alluring and in needing of a strong man.

The door quickly opened and Edward walked in. Without even taking a second glance at Francine's breasts, he strode over too her. With a smile of pure friendliness, he lifted her up, “My poor, dear sister. No more wine at the next function.” He chuckled.

“Mhmmm, perhaps not.” She was on cloud 9. Her whole body was pretty much pressed up against his. She wanted him. She would have him.

Softly, as if putting a babe to bed, he laid her down and put the blanket over her, “Sleep tight, dearest sister, for you will have a raging headache in the morning.”

Francine sighed, “Before you go...could you adjust my pillow?”

Edward nodded, “Of course.” He reached above her and shimmed the pillow down a little bit and made sure it was nicely supporting her head. Before he could stand straight back up, Francine wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down to her lips. Her greedy lips latched themselves to his always smiling, red lips.

She was sure her heart would explode.

He quickly yanked her arms off of him and pulled away as if Francine were the Devil herself. He grimaced and wiped her taste away and yelled, “What the bloody Hell, Francine.”

She crawled out of bed and tried to walk over to him with much sexiness as should could, but she was taken over by the wine. One of her creamy breasts was nearly spilled over her bodice. With a chuckle she replied, “I want you Edward...you want me. Mary doesn't have to know.”

“This is not you, Francine. You are drunk and out of your mind! I'm leaving and you better go back to bed and sleep this off.” He roared.

Ignoring him, she tried to latch herself back onto him, but he dodged her and ran for the door. She tried to go after him, but she tripped over her Tiger rug and crashed to ground. Tears from the wine and being denied from the man she wanted came spilling forth.

The End.

Monday (Tuesday) Morning Flash Fiction Challenge

Good afternoon my dears. Sorry about forgetting to post this yesterday...I just simply forgot. It took me nearly two hours to get home yesterday after work due to traffic and construction. *sighs* As soon as I got home I ate, watched the last two episodes of 'Once Upon a Time' and then lounged around. Great times.

Well, this picture was founded by my friend Courtney and I instantly thought of you guys.

Artist: K.Juzanx

Mhmmmm. Which POV shall I take?

Monday Morning Flash Fiction Challenge

A weekly meme created by Dottie. Every Monday we shared a picture and on Friday you post a tale or story to go along with the picture. 350 words at minimum.

Happy early Monday you guys. I'm sitting here an anxious mess waiting for Steve (my mechanic) to finish looking at my car and call me. There is something wrong with my car and I'm dying waiting. It doesn't help that I'm a worry-wart and I am impatient. Gah. At least they invented the internet for people like me to waste time and try to keep my mind off of my car.

Anwyays, how are you guys doing?

Here is the picture for the week:

I found this painting and it was painted by Alfredo Dagli Orti.

Since I'm bored and have nothing else to do, I'll share my FFF from Friday. ^.^

Emotions
by: Carole Rae

Screaming your name, I removed my heels and stumbled up the slippery stones in search for you. The moors rushed in front of me, but all the love I had for the moors vanished because I could not find you. Where are you? Where are you my love? I set my lamp down and looked up towards the opening sky and I heard your voice. I called your name again, but your voice stopped. HER voice, or what I think would be her voice, took place. She laughed and she whispered among the wind, “His heart belongs with me.”

Tears began streaming down my face and fell onto the already wet stones, “No. He hates you. I will NOT let you take him away from me.”

She laughed and laughed, “He will be mine again.”

“I WILL NOT LET YOU WIN!” I yelled back.

“YOU FOOL! YOU DAMNED FOOL? DO YOU NOT SEE? DO YOU NOT HEAR HIM WHISPER MY NAME IN THE DARK! HE HAS NEVER EVEN SAID I LOVE YOU YET!” The wind blew and I pushed down dress and glared at the light.

I winced, but I still declared,“I WILL WIN! HE WILL LOVE ME!”

The wind blew and whistled louder then anything I've ever heard.

I snapped awake. Sweating was dripping down my face and I was shaking. I sat there on the couch a moment before I realized where the loud whistling was coming from. My tea was going off. I sighed and looked down at my trembling hands. What none sense that dream was. However...I could still feel the lingering jealousy that heated my blood. What if my dream was right? What if he still loved that bitch? That whore? I had never felt the sting of jealousy and despair before.

I pulled myself from the couch and went over to the kitchen and grabbed myself a cup of tea, before sitting down back on the couch. I sighed and took a sip. With a sigh, I set down my tea and grabbed my writing pad. I began writing...writing always relieved my emotions and removed them from my body.

Jealousy
Just outrageous of me to compare myself to her.
Everyone says that she is a bitch and a whore
A fact is a fact, but that doesn't mean you still don't
Love her
Or wish I was her.
Usually I don't care, but I can't stop thinking about it.
So it is true you are with me...for now.
You may think me nuts, but if she wanted you back badly enough she will....she will.

I slammed the pen down as I finished writing these words. Rage, menace, and most of all...longing burned through my veins. I stared out the window and took a deep breath. It was not my greatest work, but I could feel the emotions slowly draining. Thank God.

My phone rang and I knew it was him. I picked up, “Hey.”

“Hey Rebecca.” Whispered his velvety voice.

“Whats up?”

There was a moment of silence and then he replied, “Guess who showed up at my place earlier?”

“She did...didn't she?” I could feel the emotions spilling back into my veins. That whore was going to get it.

“Yeah,” He laughed, “She was all dolled up and was trying to seduce me. I just slammed the door in her face.”

That should have contented me, but my veins was running with every bad emotion, “You should have just fucked her, Jack. I know you still love her.”

“What? What are you talking about?”

“C'mon. We've only been dating four months and you still love her. She wants you back. You should have taken that ship when it came.”

“I can't.”

“Why?”

“Because....because I love you Rebecca.”

My heart stopped a moment, “Oh, Jack. I love you too.”

I could hear the smile in his voice, “Thank God. I was terrified you wouldn't say it back.”

“I've loved you since I met you, Jack.”

“Same here.”

~The End.~

Monday Flash Fiction Challenge

Happy Monday everyone. It's rather dreary over here in Michigan, but the snow is melted away so I am okay with it. ^.^ How is everyone else doing? How is weather on your side of the pond?

Well, I forgot to post my story on Friday for last week's challenge, but if you click HERE then it will transport you to my tale. Along with my story, I also want to let you guys know that I'm hosting a giveaway over at my blog for my blog's 2nd birthday. There's a bundle of books involved *waggles eyebrows* Click HERE to get there. Technically it ends in a couple days, but I think I'm going to extend it another week. *contemplates*. Head on over...its open to everyone!

Anyways, here is this week's picture:

This is a picture of the Tunnel of Love in the Ukraine. Really cool picture of it. I love how the sun is shining through the trees. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner (aka Thursday) I found this oddly appropriate for this week's challenge. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Monday Flash Fiction is BAAAAAACK!

A Late Monday Flash Fiction

Hi everyone! I am back officially from the couple weeks of craziness. ^.^ Life is such a pain sometimes, but oh well. Though I'm a day late...here is this week's picture challenge.

Monday Flash Challenge #110

Good Monday morning everyone! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was lovely to say the least. ^.^ I had the entire weekend off AND I went to an awesome Halloween party. Instead of going as Marie Antoinette, I went as The Ghost of the Backstabbing Bride's Maid. Hahaha. It was a last minute change, because I wasn't feeling wearing that huge dress. Since I love sharing pictures, here's one of my friend Sarah (she's a saloon girl) and I looking spooky

Anyways, it is Monday and so we shall have another picture!

I found this picture over HERE. The author of this has a lot of lovely paintings. He's good.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Monday Morning Flash Fiction Challenge, Week 99

Well, almost forgot to post a pic!! I meant to spend the day relaxing, getting in some word count, reading a couple of books.... and instead I ran errands for everyone.... If you know me and didn't ask me to buy/borrow/steal something, please let me know, I guess I owe you, lol!

So, lets just get to it!

Today's image is completely different from anything we've had in a while, and I hope someone (anyone?) like it. Thought I'd try to change things up a bit!

This is a beautiful image.... all the trees appear to be reaching... so cool.

The rules remain the same... 350 words, post a response on Friday.

Have a great week my friends!!
